Dan Shore is the founder and mentor of Shore Associates, Inc. in San Jose California, a firm created in 1990 to provide full service consulting for the real estate industry. Dan’s goal was to merge client vision and expectations with knowledge and experience by assisting small and large clients, (owners, tenants, and developers) with property development, project management, and facility planning within the San Francisco Bay Area. Within a few years, Shore Associates developed a reputation for saving time and money, providing strong project leadership, and achieving dynamic results.
Based on an unwavering commitment to each client’s goals, Dan’s leadership role extended to projects throughout the United States. Today, Shore Associates, Inc. coordinates the construction management of some of the “smartest” buildings on earth. Clients which include Yahoo!, Adobe Systems, Netflix, nVidia, and Google not only demand the highest standards of technological excellence, but do so with a social conscience. Their campuses must not only be “smart”, but reflect the environmental values of the company, management and workers.
As project manager for La Concha Pearl, Dan is utilizing his knowledge of technology and green construction to develop perhaps the most high tech and environmentally friendly beach front condominium complex in all of Baja California. Dan and his wife, Pamela, have personally invested in Mexican real estate and own multiple properties in San Felipe, Los Cabos, and La Paz. They currently oversee a hi-end real estate portfolio in Baja and mainland Mexico while continuing to manage the consulting firm in San Jose, California.

Robert Hefner has been in the resort marketing and development industry since 1982. Robert began marketing property in Baja in 1998 at El Dorado Ranch in San Felipe as a manager with RMAC Properties. Since then, El Dorado Ranch has become the largest and one of the most successful real estate developments in Baja and continues to break sales records every year.
According to Robert, “When my partner Dan Shore and I decided to buy a piece of the most beautiful beach in La Paz, we watched the sun set over the bay one evening and understood that we had a responsibility to utilize all of our experience to insure that La Concha Pearl would protect the area that had captured our hearts and imagination.”
Currently in North America there is a Green Construction certification program called Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Developers garner points for using environmentally sensitive methods and materials for construction, and can apply for certification to promote their concern for social and environmental responsibility in the construction process.
“Although LEED does not have a certification process for Mexico, La Concha Pearl is being built in such manner that it would qualify for certification if it were available in Baja,” states Hefner.
